Our Approach to
Sport & Purpose Training
Sport and performance training at IBK9 is not about creating overstimulated dogs or uncontrolled drive.
We focus on:
-
Channeling drive with clarity and control
-
Building focus, engagement, and neutrality
-
Developing confidence through structured challenges
-
Strengthening handler–dog communication
-
Supporting long-term mental and physical well-being
These programs are suitable for dogs of varying experience levels, provided they are emotionally and behaviorally ready for structured work.

Is Sport or Purpose Training Right for Your Dog?
Not every dog benefits from sport or performance work at the same stage of training. Through a free evaluation and temperament assessment, our team determines whether a dog is ready for sport training and which program best supports their emotional balance, drive, and goals.
Some dogs thrive with high-energy outlets, while others benefit from foundational work before pursuing sport or performance paths. Our goal is always to guide placement responsibly and honestly
